Have you seen where the scapula is on a deer? It's not a kill no matter how well you get through it.

Yes i have.
It still happens though. With really good penetration it may knock their arse down long enough to get another shot or slit their throats.

I haven't seen reviews that bad since the old Puckett Blood Trailers.

somehow valid argument

but yet video concrete evidence of broadhead performances does not sway AlxTgr.

And yet Alxtgr wants to conveniently ignore the plethora of horrible "reviews" that he conveniently likes to hide behind on other brands. Yet he's got superior knowledge.

shot mine open once just to see what would happen. A little noisy, but flew fine.
I thought I was the only one that had tried that, I've gotten complete pass through with a Spitfire on an extreme quartering away shot, entered left ham and exited right shoulder, can't get more penetration than that. I trust Grim Reapers and Spitfires but shoot Slick Tricks for the simplicity.

I get as much or more penetration with Steelheads than I did with Thunders, Muzzy, Innerloc and Rocky Mountain. Way more accurate. Never broken a blade.

Previously shot thunderheads and wasp hammer sst fixed blades and out to 25 yrd they would shoot like fieldtips. To 35 yrds they would fly about the same but groups spread a bit to 6-8 " vs 4" with field tips.

Now shooting NAP killzone and they fly like field tips up to 30 yrds (as far as I practice)They are supposed to lock open but after shooting (horrible shot on my part) a buck yesterday it is evident that my killzone did not lock open.

I have zero interest in what happens if someone makes that bad a shot. Show me ribs.

I was just giving you the opportunity to see the results of a Rage vs Heavy bone rather than plywood. The front leg bone has similar density and, depending on how the deer is standing, it doesn't take much of a miss to hit it (especially when aiming for the heart)

I finally went and looked. It went through the bone much better than plywood.

Thanks y'all for your opinions. Some I found funny but it's whatever. What do y'all think about thunderheads? I've narrowed the search down to slick tricks and thunderheads.

thunderheads.
Great head in every way except they only stay together on an arrow. Hated that. My longest kill(38 yards) was with one.

Shot a doe last year with a thunderhead 100 gr

It was a bad shot at 35 yrds but passed through the upper leg bone, through a rib, through front of both lungs, out between ribs, hitting lower part of opposite side leg bone.

The on side bone was sliced in half as if it was done with a bone saw. The off side bone was shattered like it was hit by a bullet. Deer died 60 yrds away because I did not hit major vessels and only hit the tips of the lungs.

The blades are easy and cheap to replace. The heads are longer than other broadheads but never seemed to be a problem for me. The retention washer which holds the replacement blades in place is slightly larger in diameter than my carbon arrows but also did not seem to effect performance. The broad head wrench provided in the pack actually fits on the broadhead which is nice. The heads can be shot with out blades as a field tip if wanted but of course the lack of blades drops the weight slightly. For me with my set up they fly like fieldtips even with the blades out to 25 yrds with marginal change out to 35 yrds. I have found them to be a very durable and reliable fixed boradhead.
