I am looking into this breed for duck hunting and dove hunting...not real popular down here, does anyone know a great breeder? Or have one of these dogs?

Guy I hunt with has one. Good little dog loves the water. Good with doves don't know about bigger birds like mallards and pheasants. He is hoping to take her pheasant hunting this year. He got his from a breeder in south Carolina suppose to one of the countries best kennels.

I have seen them and I dont know what they are besides being the state dog of South Carolina. Are they cockers are they field breed springers are they a mix?? But I know everyone that has one like them.
all I know whatever breed a man has it is the best, if you want a versatile dog get one.
Get one that can hunt rabbits like a beagle, Ducks and Phez like a Lab, quail and grouse like a pointer. Bloodtrack deer like a hound. Dispatch any wounded game immediately
But heat is a problem for most breeds during dove season so take that into consideration in the dove fields.
The only dog you should ever own. It's the Jeep of the dog world.
