Just one more thing buy a choke stick in case of an accidental collared dog catch or a house cat from down the road. So that you can release without harming them other than mentally and good luck
If I get a chance I will post some catches and sets from this year but I haven't been going for the yotes yet. I have caught a bunch of grey Fox and a few bobcats. Trying to catch the coons early before they start fighting and messing up the hides

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Need a choke stick. I will post my results. Won't be till after next weekend.

One last question angus. What is the easiest way to dig the hole for bait?

Flat set
#2 or bigger coil spring trap
Gland lure.

Bobcats make the set up so the cat walks through and use sticks to guide it foot to your trap pan. Set on their tracks or where you have seen them.

Coyotes are a little harder to fool but very easy once you figure them out. There is just too much information to put in this post so I suggest you go check out a trapping forum such as Trapperman
Look in the archives.
Buy videos and books, two big names and common sense trappers are Matt Jones of Tennessee and Slim Peterson in Georgia. IMO Matt Jones is one of the best coyote trappers out there.

Also check out this out trapping supply, they are very good people to deal with and their products are second to none! Give them a call if you have questions. Minnesota trap supply

You need to ride up to Shelby County one day and show me how its done. We have 1700 acre lease and there are tons of cats and yotes.
