correct me if I am wrong, but isnt that a no wake zone right there? has to make you think if they ignored the zone and flew through it

Guy died on Fish river this week in Baldwin County the day he purchased his boat
LINK
quote:
Anxious to try out his new boat, Tom Hall put his boat in at the Honey Road boat ramp along Fish River and a few hours later first responders were looking for his body
quote:
Hall was a passenger in the 14 foot, Cape Horn. His friend from work was driving. Steve Boyleston lives in the community and saw the search efforts Tuesday night. “I hate it for anybody because the guy who was riding in that boat was just having a good time.”
The accident happened, right across from Osprey Landing, a pretty wide section of the river. According to investigators when the boat came off plane, the operator made a hard right and dumped all three of his passengers into the river,
quote:
No safety equipment, including life jackets, was found on the boat. Hall could not swim

Anyone who buys a boat and cannot and has never learned to swim is just frickin stupid!

I was out at cotton bayou memorial day and there was a salesman and a new owner taking delivery. Guys first boat (28' cc), salesman showed him how to start and a few things then said see ya. Guy got stuck in the no wake zone shallows on the north side near tacky jacks.
They really should enforce some sort of training etc, for a new purchase

Looks like he was coming in and that is not a no wake zone in either direction

Similar thing happened in Cocodrie this month. This is the rocks at NE side of the ship channel and petite caillou. You can see Coco Marina and LUMCON in the background.
