bleed the hydraulic fluid then you shouhld be able to pick up the outdrive, then strap it up or prop it up.

Take your switch out and see if you can make it work by touching the wires.

I have an Volvo, recently the switch went out, it was still making noise but not moving. Get to the trim switch and then try a jumper to see if it will work. I ordered a new switch only when I discovered this was the problem for less than $30 with overnight shipping...
