any of you baws have experience with them? starting to price around bay boats and came across one on with the riser console... I'm staying away from the typical purebays, nautics, etc... looking for something different that not many people have, and this looked interesting to say the least

8' beam is too narrow in my book and the recessed transom takes up too much back deck. it looks like it may be a decent flats style boat for reds. I think it would suck in open water with its narrow beam and light weight hull

its a tunnel hull made for shallows. I'm guessing its their "tournament" hull. 8' seems plenty wide, though.

well for a typical bay boat that is too narrow. for a flats boat it would be fine.
if you want it for shallows thats totally different than wanting it for island hopping and flats. when you said bay boat shopping i thought you meant open bays and coastal fishing

our sea hunt is only 3" wider than this, and a purebay is 6" wider so its really not narrow at all.
I island hop in that and calm days in a 17' aluminum boat
not like im really running to playforms, just fishing off the beaches on calm days and philo brice, plus marsh fishing in the winter
