Check the Univ of Arkansas varieties. They've done the most work over the last 10-15 years.

A lot of it depends on if you're just planting for "backyard" consumption. If you, you can get a high sugar content berry. The ones that say "good shipper" means a berry that takes handling, and transportation well with a long shelf life. That's the garbage you get in the grocery store. No flavor, low sugar.

The sweet ones don't handle well. Those are the best to eat. But you'll need to eat them same day, and they leave juice on your fingers. Very fragile.

I got two decent ones from Lowes on sale and they got a lot bigger and grew way more shoots than I expected. The one probably covers a 10x10 ft area I had to dig the other up and cut it back. All the wild ones I see are much smaller so I just never expected it. Just an FYI keep an eye on the size of the bush when you are looking.

Ouachita and Triple Crown are my favorite. I just added Ebony King so we will see how they do.
