Name difference is all. If you ever go to resell, you will get more for the Hustler since people recognize the brand.

They really messed the Fastrak up this year. I have a Fastrack and a Fastrack SD. I bought the SD last year and it has the dual tanks and the dual stage canister air cleaner. This year the made 3 different models, and even though the base Fastrack has improved, there is very little difference between the SD and SDX from the base. At least not enough to justify the price difference IMO. The transaxle quality is better though. Not sure what they were thinking cutting back to a single 5-gallon tank either and they added on a lot of plastic. Even the pulley covers are plastic on the deck. Looks like shite and no doubt they will sell a lot of those replacements. I also hate the new grass height adjuster this year.

If I were buying again, I would get a Scag and next year I will probably give my SD to one of crews and do just that. Both Hustler and Scag have 0% for 48 months right now and it would be worth the extra $20 per month to buy a better machine in the Scag.
