Big Bayou Blue

I haven't been to PAC since before IDA and plan to make a trip this week. Is Big Bayou Blue still open and is grand bayou canal still passable?

Big Bayou Blue Marina on Bourg-Larose highway is not open. There is marsh in the parking lot and the canal from the launch to grand bayou is solid marsh/floaton. You will have to launch at Bessons or in PAC.

Took my daughter crabbing last Sunday and Grand Bayou is passable from the PAC marina. The Bayou Blue marina is closed indefinitely because it is not passable and filled with grass and mud. We had an excellent trip. some areas of grand bayou is more shallow than it used to be but we had no issues.
