I mow about 7 acres a week in the summer and another 30 acres about once a month.....what would be the best bang for the buck with zero turn commercial mowers....I have been looking at the Husqvarna commercial line and the Bad Boy commercial line .......both are about six thousand dollars, or is there a better choice. I need at least a 60 inch deck and 10 miles per hour. everything else I have(tractors) is Kubota, but their mowers seem overpriced to me...what sayeth the Rant experts

My dad has a kubota diesel 72" deck that is a monster. I'd go with that.

My uncle bought a Scag Tiger Cat. I've used it only once, and it was very nice.

I've talked to him before about ZTRs and pretty much as long as you stick with a commercial model, you can't go wrong. He mentioned the residential models don't hold up as well as the commercials. And I can see that based on the differences in usage you get between a commercial company and average joe.

Just go with the brand that has the closest and best service. They are all pretty much the same now

Second that. I went with gravely (sp?) because of the location of the service center. It's been a good mower for the past 4 years. I took it in for service a few weeks ago. Haven't got it back yet so I don't know how it runs now.

Kubota commercial. I got the 222 gas. Very light.

ETA: always keep the Henry .22 aboard for shooting turtles in the pond.

4yr/0% financing. I was gonna pay cash, but when it's 0%, and as long as you're paying the note the Kubota unconditional insurance is included- no brainer. No matter what happens to it, my fault or not, for $250 it gets fixed.

Look at Exmark. They give a very polished cut and are durable

I think the only factor machine wise would be the engine. Everything else is basically the same. Really, they all use a bunch of the same engines. Just gotta figure out which ones to avoid

I am sort of in the market for a rig too. Leaning towards Gravely, but as others have said, they are nearly the same.

From what I understand, make sure you get a welded deck that is floating on chains rather than single brackets that do not give much sway.

Mine is 9 years old and the only problem I've had was with ethanol gas and leaking hydraulic hoses.
