Best way to get deer back to my property

I have family property in Mississippi. 1,400 acres of pine forest, hardwoods, and swamp. High fence neighbors to the North.
Land has been in division in the courts for almost two years so rye fields were not cut and replanted last year.
We never use feeders and have always had abundant amounts of deer. But it appears that the lack of hunting the last two years and the lack of food aside from massive amounts of acorns has hurt us.
I didn’t even spook up a deer and I walked the entire property a few times this past weekend. Also hunted hard in the morning and afternoon.
It appears we have maybe lost some deer to the neighbors.
What’s the best, least expensive way to get them back? Will they come back?
PS. I killed a nice 220 lb 8 point the day after thanksgiving this year.

ETA: you walked 1400 acres multiple times in one weekend? Are you Lewis or Clark?

Are you saying those deer aren't allowed to cross that fence legally?

Wrong board , but I would say that since they legalized hunting over bait in MS , most people are taking advantage of that. Lots of leases similar in size feed all year to keep them around. Hope that helps.

Less crime, good schools, and good paying jobs usually gets the population trending upwards.

Tell a Chinese family they can have all the maggots they want as long as they carry it back.

Tell them they don’t have standing and they’ll flock to your place.

This is not the reason for the lack of deer
What is the land like? The deer are likely holed up in the thick stuff and aren’t moving unless they are forced to

We have a lot of hardwoods and thick it so they don’t have to move far for food but there was zero movement this past weekend

Invite them over for dinner.

Go to middle of said property. Walk north until you hit high fence. Use this:
Seriously though if you have 1400 acres they are in there. I would plant a lot to hold what you can. Create bedding areas and leave them alone. Also plant something other than just rye grass.
