Best price on a Shield 9MM?

Where is the best place to pick one up? its $399 at Academy. I know I can get it cheaper online but I have never purchases a gun online before. I know it has to be transferred to a FFL dealer and I pay a fee. Looking to pick one up, possibly this weekend. Thanks guys

Keep your eye open for a sale at Palmetto State Armory's site. I bought mine for $319 (plus shipping) during a Black Friday sale last year. I've seen them go as low as $329 since then. Then you have to factor in $20 for FFL. Still cheaper than $399+tax though.

I ordered on Sunday..shipped on Wednesday..arrived Friday.

I ordered mine on 7/26 and it still hadn't shipped as of yesterday. Part of the problem was that the FFL I was sending to had an expired license in PSA's system. They emailed me and I got that resolved the next day.
The next part of the issue was that they just upgrading their shipping/inventory system and obviously has some issues. I checked my pending orders and two of the three had the incorrect names on them. My stuff is supposed to go out in the next day or so, but if be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned.

ETA: buying the gun from PSA took all of 3 minutes. Shipping took one week. Then 15 minutes to checkout at Cabelas.

Not to be a cheap bastard, but has PSA ever run a better deal than $329? Or should I just go ahead and grab one now? I'm just wondering out loud if they may have an even better deal around labor day and should possibly hold off. I realize this is a stupid good deal already.

No. If it is still 329 I would buy now. I saw it for $329 once a while back and missed it. Waited and waited for it to come back down and wound up pulling the trigger at $359. Still a great deal.
