Best place to go camping near NOLA

I'm willing to venture out up to 100 miles give or take. This spot has to be secluded, hilly, and have a river or lake where we can put the kayaks in.
I was thinking somewhere on the North Shore or near McComb would be my best bet.
Suggestions?

Fountainbleau State Park in Mandeville is very nice.
Also look at Bogue Chitto State Park just below Franklinton.

there are a couple of decent campgrounds near alexandria that may fit what you are looking for...
Indian creek is not real secluded, but does have some primitive spots that would be away from everyone...
Kincaid lake does have woods between the spots, but some sites are not actually on the lake...
both lakes are very nice and the areas are maintained by the state, so they are typically well policed and in good working order....

Good ideas so far, but you'll get more suggestions on the Outdoor Board.

Lake Fausse Point State Park has canoe access camping sites.
If you want to go extremely primitive/secluded, most of the Wildlife Management areas have designated camping areas. Some of those are very deep in the swamp. Look at Attakapas WMA in the Atchafalaya Basin.
