Hows your cell service? I believe it's easier/ cheapest to just add some chips to your current plan so you probably want to look at cameras that use your current provider.

The only thing I don't like about them is they eat batteries quickly, and the batteries are expensive.

Which one do you have? I have been looking at the pro that has rechargeable ones.

Covert, small easy to conceal, and quick trigger multi shot available and video mode.

You can buy rechargeable batteries from Arlo, although they're expensive initially, you never have to buy more and they recharge within a couple hours. I love them.

Any of y’all have it notify you when it catches motion? How is the real-time video and speaker/mic?

We were talking about this the other day here at work and a guy here said he's got 3 Amcrest cameras on his house and they works great. From what I can tell they're about $75 on amazon. Anyone use/used these?

I put Arlo up at my camp a month ago. Batteries at 93% today and I changed it to record 30sec worth of video. Had to put sensitivity down to 90 though because it was going off and nothing was on the video. The only issue with it is the delay for it to come on. I hear the new arlo 2 are better, but there is def a couple/few second delay from when motion is sensed to when it starts recording.

I just ordered the Arlo Pro. Is this the one you were having the delay with?

Do you have WiFi at your lease? Besides the Covert, most cameras recommend in this thread need WiFi if you want to be notified of movement.

As baldona said, your cell service quality is going to dictate what cell cameras will have the best service. In my experience cell cameras won’t send 100% if the pictures due to coverage issues. But having one at the gate that sends 90% of the pictures is a must. I didn’t think we had trespassing until I could see what happened when we weren’t hunting.

I’ve used SpyPoint and Spartan. Sparatan cameras have trouble will poor cell coverage. Spypoints aren’t user friendly to set up, but are able to send pictures with 1 bar of service.

Rootin' for arlo pro as well, if against the arlo. It has similar features with the previous arlo but the improvements on the pro is something to consider. Speak&hear thru the camera is awesome. It also sends notifications, sometimes there's too much false notifs though. I found this good comparison of the two gadgets. Ours just retired recently though. Im trying to find replacements without monthly fee like the arlos.
