Got to put new tires on the Tundra and I want something semi-aggressive that will ride good... not trying to break the bank but not wanting a cheap-o either. What sayeth the OB?
big fan of Nitto and thinking Ridge Grappler or Terra Grappler but open to other ideas.

Ridge grapplers or toyo r/t are the only choices.

ETA: KO2's are also comparable. Depends on if you occasionally find yourself off road. All three of those perform pretty well in sticky situations (granted they aren't true mud tires) but for some incidental muddy roads or fields at the deer lease they should do you well.

BFG KO2's have been very good to me, on my third set.

I have 70,000 on my KO2 and still have probably another 10-15,000 left

Also, this thread will simply be everyone posting what tires they have, and nearly every tire will be represented.

Running Toyo AT3’s on my sons Tundra and Ridge Grapplers on my other sons Tacoma. Both are great tires.

I'm running the Cooper Discoverer AT3s and love them so far. I ride highway mostly but also gravel/dirt out at the camp.

Toyos are too loud. Sound the same as a regular mud tire. I found the RTs and the AT3s loud. Ridge grapplers are quiet as are KO2s

Was coming to post this. And they're usually very competitively prices.

Replaced tires about 5 months ago. Had Terra Grapplers and could not find any dealer in LA, MS, or TX that had a set of 4 in 275/60/20. Talked to one dealer in Baton Rouge and Grapplers are very hard to get.

I had BFG KO2 on 2000 Jeep Wrangler and have Nitto RGs on a JK Unlimited.

Both are quite good. KO2 probably last longer but RGs handle wet roads, esp with standing water, better IMO.

KO2s likely lighter as well which helps in braking and mileage to varying degrees.

Availability might determine your choice at this point.

Look at Tire Rack reviews and Youtube reviews as well.

I've always ran MTs; this time around I wanted an AT for the noise reduction but still wanted something capable in sticky situations. For me, I narrowed it down to KO2s or Ridge Grapplers. After reading and talking with some of my friends that have had or currently have either of those tires, I went with the KO2s. I'm glad I did and couldn't be more happier with them. Quiet, ride well, and actually impressive for an AT in mud.

Currently at 55k miles on a set of transforce AT's. No complaints yet. Ill probably get about 80k out of them on a 3/4 ton dodge diesel. I've also had wrangler AT'S on a 3/4 ton for about 40k miles and they were less than halfway worn yet. My next set will probably be the wrangler at's again.

I like my Cooper A/Ts. I bought mine through Walmart. They have a line that only Walmart deals that is virtually the same as their higher level A/T 3.

All the oil companies in the Bakkan are running Falkan Wildpeak AT3w tires on their trucks. Those vehicles spend most of the time on rough gravel and/or muddy roads. That ought to say something about the traction and durability of Falkans.

I will never buy another tire besides Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Excellent off road, on rocks and mud alike, kill it in the snow and ice, and really aren't loud at all considering the aggressive AT tread.

Just be prepared for your mileage to go down about 3-5 mpg
