Bees building hive in hollowed part of column on front porch. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them, or do I need to get a bee man?

Bee Man want the bees. Some come get them for free. Big business for some bee keepers to "rent" the bee hive for agricultural purposes. Esp. In California. They have no more bees

Don't think he would be able to get to queen or hive without tearing up column.

Cypermethrin

Or if you want, a bee keeper would do it for free. Column sounds fricked anyway if bees have infested

I just have hired the wrong bee man. Sumbitch charged me $750, and killed all the bees. Of course, bees were in the wall of my bedroom and he had to rip out the drywall to remove the hive.

Sevin dust will kill them, my experience is most beekeepers really don't want to fool with coming to get them and an exterminator is just going to spray them with sevin dust and vacuum them up and charge you $200

I had yellow jackets getting into the walls of my house through my AC line. I used the raid foggers a few times and got rid of them. I must have used 6 canisters and killed 200 yellow jackets before the queen finally crawled out and died. Haven't seen any since
