Anybody else notice this around here? Last year I went fishing in the lake in my neigthe day after Thanksgiving and all the bass were right up against the bank and chasing bream like they were guarding beds. Today, I went fishing in another pond and I saw the same thing and I also saw a bunch of fry. Anybody else notice this?

Water is still warm in the shallows is reason they are up there

They start forming eggs now but they can't lay in November The eggs are not mature

Well something laid some eggs bc there was a bunch of fry in the shallows as well. I know the majority of the bass spawn in the spring but I wonder if there are some oddballs out there that may spawn when the water temp gets right in the fall as well.

Could have been bluegill. They will spawn multiple times during the year Usually through by July though.

Could be mosquito fish also
