I use Tatulas mainly and love them. I just bout a CT (2016 model) for $90 off ebay. That thing will cast a mile and it's almost impossible to backlash.

Of you want a fancier reel, my dad has a Pfleuger XT Patriarch and its awesome. Retails for about 250 and can buy it around 200. I've never read anything bad about them either.

I fish saltwater but am a big lews fan.

This past weekend the outside dial for the brake stopped making the clicking noise it usually does but was still working right as far as I could tell.

All their reels come with a 1 year warranty so I emailed them and they responded same day asking for my address to send me a new side plate for the reel, no questions asked.

Never had to deal with their customer service before but I'll buy another lews when the time comes

My Calcuttas are 30 years old and still work like new.
