thinking of launching at Bason's tomorrow in my kayak and head towards the sulphur mine

My question:
Is this a bad time to launch there with duck season? I don't want to have to paddle through any duck hunters on the way

I've launched there during season many times. Just go a little after sunup at earliest

I lived at that launch in 2009-2010 in my little eliminator bass boat. if you have a pedal drive try to hit up lake bully camp. big trout like the flat on the north side after the sun warms up the water.

I may be able to shuttle your yak to bully camp though. if you see a flat boat with a mud buddy, yell at me.

I know there will be boat fishing the mine, just getting there without going through anyone's spots
