Bank fishing in the Lafayette area

Will be staying a few days a week in Lafayette for work for the next year or so and looking to kill some time when the day is done. Does anyone have some bank fishing spots they would be willing to share? Don’t plan on keeping anything just looking to catch and release.

Always see people bank fishing behind Costco , and also at Youngsville Park.

Used to catch some at my apartment behind Costco.

Drive down to Delcambre. They have a nice public launch where you can fish. I haven’t been in a couple months but I hear they’re killing the reds. Lots of catfish and occasional black drum to be had too.

Ponds:
Pond behind Costco (Bass)
Fabacher Field, used to be great till LDWF started posting stocking schedules on FB. (Catfish, Bass, Bluegill) You can walk to the golf course from Fabacher and that’s where the big bass are but understand that you’re trespassing.
Girard Park, same situation as Faubacher Field
St. Julien Park in Broussard (Bass and Bluegill)
Lakes:
Lake Martin, not too much accessible bank but I’ve caught close to the boat launch.
Spanish Lake in Cade if you want Catfish and Gar
Lake Fausse Pointe, you can bank fish from the banks of the state park or you can go to New Iberia and fish from the banks of Teche Lake Canal Rd.
Cypremort Point allows bank fishing from the state park. You can also catch by the boat ramp sometimes.
Delcambre Canal is another good one

Although this 411 will be of no help, here is some Lafayette bank fishing history….. Back in the 1980’s , this lake (pic below) frequently produced 5~10 # bass. Next to the Vermillion River, behind Whole Foods, and in the current Beaullieu subdivision. This general area and where River Ranch is currently located had lots of deer, rabbit, wood ducks, and squirrel.
Ditto what others have suggested … Costco pond, Delcambre Boat launch & the Youngsville sports complex

Anyway to get back there without getting on someone's property? Asking for a friend of course.

What about the Henderson swamp area. I know it’s a 20 min drive. But that’s an option.
