I’ve probably seen close to 40 deer and it’s foggy as hell out here. Couple of really nice 10’s came in close enough for me to see pretty good.

I can always count on a Rize thread to make the deer I am hunting look tiny

Interesting.

Quality deer management combined with land that has good nutrition. Rize's property is in South Texas, not far from the King Ranch and an hour from Mexico. Low fence and they don't run cattle so the deer have free range to eat browse, forbs year round. He lets em grow old to 6+ years, and doesn't shoot 4-yr old deer that are 135-140". He's been managing the property for almost 10 years and the genetics are improving big time. Wouldn't be surprised if they shoot a 160-170" deer in the next few years. They've already killed several 150" deer. The dude has patience and is doing it right. 9 hour drive one-way and many years he doesn't shoot a buck.

I am in George West, TX and I’m 10 hours from NO. Just depends on where he is coming from. Surprised he hasn’t hit one with his truck on the way all the deer they have out there.

I am also a land owner in that area. Own 2,750 acres low fence. We are absolutely loaded with deer. Year 8 on our program we took a 162 and a 158 last year.

I do hunt out there but that’s a buddies lease and I go with him a couple times a year and just shoot hogs. I’ll be down there not this Wednesday but next and stay til Sunday.

Dear Lord boys.

I'm about 6.9 seconds from saying screw it and joining a hunting camp this year. These pictures are awesome.

Hunted as a kid but haven't gone in years due to work/moving.
