Are they any shooting ranges

Tallow Creek in Covington. It is a shite hole, but serves its purpose.

AR-15 and 9mm

Unfortunately nothing in the hammond direct area (that I know of).

Like someone else said, there's Tallow Creek in covington. It's a bit run down and not properly taken care of but serves its purpose.

Just bring everything you'd need. They're supposed to have targets and such but have heard from people who've gone that that's not always the case.

We really need a google map or something similar with all the shooting ranges in the state and what they allow.

Yeah I used to live about 2 miles from Tallow Creek shooting range in Tallow Creek subdivision ha. But yeah the place is run down but not bad for a close option to the northshorians. I liked it because it was so close. Decent skeet ranges. Wish they would have had a longer option at the rifle range. When siting in my rifle I'd opt for a friends land with 50, 100, 150 & 200 yard setups.

If in reference to tallow creek, I consider anything within 45 minutes the near vicinity.

I got lucky and the wife's parents/family bought a bunch of land in Ponchatoula after Katrina. Only her parents and uncle built on it when all of them were supposed to. Its like 60 acres with deer everywhere, Im warming them up to letting me bow hunt it.

They just like the animals, I like the meat.

Dammit... I really need 1000yds to sight in my 15-22!
