Are the bugs falling yet?

Trying to decide if I am going to chase reds in the shallows are try an find some titty bream!
Last year they started falling the third week of April. Anybody have any luck on poppers?

A couple bream were hitting my cork the other day, but they still didnt quite know what to do with the popper fly yet.

Last 3 weeks I've caught 8-10 big bream in bonnet career, I55 near palace, and bayou gauche.
All 3 times I started sac a pair fishing and they were rolling my cork
I55 were big goggle eye. Talking 1lbers.

I went to Amite river last week before the big rain. I was surprised at how well I was catching on a white popping bug. Seems a little early but I know everything is early this year.
