This is the only thing i could find and I hate quora or reddit links.

I am specifically curious if PSA Daggers are cutting into their sales. I have no numbers regarding each Mfg's market share or total output per year.

I couldn't really find anything after a quick search.

That has to be it. Those became an extremely popular alternative at a better price point.

I dont really know why you'd buy a Gen 3 when the gen 4/5 are available.

Let the dagger have that crowd.

Tell me more.

All I have are g3s. No other 9mm.

I decided a while back to buy only guns that take the same mag. That might be silly to a lot of you. But I did it.

As a novice shooter, I bought 30 g19 mags and simply stayed with g19. Love them. I don’t shoot other guns that often and don’t get jealous that often.

I. will say I like the mp 2.0 grip angle but don’t want to start a new mag collection. I’m married to Glock 19. But for me, the g 4/5 haven’t been blockbuster head and shoulders above the 19. The springs don’t bother me….nothing bothers me.

ETA: so you can read that above and see that I’m not an expert shooter to be inclined to buy an HK or CZ or 1911.
I like the polymer pistol frames and decided on a brand and stuck with it.

It’s ugly, dont care. I don’t keep mine in a case for ppl to see. I don’t pull the gun out and say “take a look at that beauty”.

It’s a purpose gun that stays concealed.

The generations I'm talking about are just improvements made to the existing pistols.

Glock still makes the Gen3, but in 2010 they released the gen4 and in 2017-8 they released the Gen5. They are just improvements.

For the Gen4 pistols:
Stippling is more aggressive
Reversible magazine release
Modular backstraps
Recoil spring is different

For the Gen5 pistols:
Finger grooves removed
Button rifled barrel
Front cocking serrations
Beafier frame
Better trigger
Flared Magwell

Gen5 is the newest/best, Gen3 is the stripped down no frills AK version of a pistol, Gen 4 was transitional. There are other variants mixed in with these, but these are the main generations of Glock pistols.

The PSA Dagger is based off the Gen3 Glock, its an outdated model from Glock. I would be that PSA is taking some market share from Glock because they are selling their daggers for cheap, but they probably arent taking any market share from people looking for the features in the Gen5 Glocks nor are they taking any of the law enforcement market share(that Im aware of).

My comment about the Gen3 was more for a new buyer, looking for a new pistol. If you have the money to spend, there is 0 reason to buy a gen3 glock over a gen5 glock.

And your magazines might be fine, they started making them all with the ambi cut quite a few years ago.

I think PDA is cutting into the Glock 19 sales. PSA was selling its Dagger in a carry bag and 10 mags for $399. I bought one and I like it.

I visited their NC store Wednesday and they can deliver the specials for pickup there.

A frame may go as low as $60 and a slide/barrel could go for $190.

A gen3 clone for $250 would speak volumes for glock sales. But I am not privy to the numbers as of now.

Glocks are overpriced for what they cost to make. PSA Daggers prove this point.

Agreed.

You can now buy a commendable AR15 for $500 w MBUS and call it a day.

California residents. The Gen 4 and Gen 5 aren't on their stupid approved handgun roster.
