Will be there all weekend and will likely have a lot of down time. Anywhere I can go and throw a line?

I'm not sure what it's called now, but there's a pier on the same road as what used to be Bert Jones Yacht Basin in Gulfport (same harbor Ship Island tours run out of ). It used to be called Moses' Pier. I used to fish there a lot as a kid and sometimes you'd get some good runs of fish around it.

people have been doing well at "the loop".

where 110 meets 90 there is a traffic "loop". right next to the beau rivage.

LINK

there is a pier that is right behind it as you can see on the map.

If you are staying at the Beau, walk down to the small craft harbor by the golden nugget and you can do well there off the pier

Black drum and white trout get thick up in there. Bring some cut bait/squid too.

Speckled Trout Fishing is incredible right now. Wading all along front beach.
