I am changing trolling motors from 55 to a 80lbs and will have 2 lithium batteries for it. They are expensive (350) a piece but come with an 11year warranty.

Two 60AH for my TM and a 125AH for crank and electronics. Very, very happy.

Bought a new to me Bass Cat a couple of months ago, and it’s has lithiums. They working great so far. I fish all day and it has plenty of power. Will never go back to lead acid.

What is the weight difference with full size lithiums vs lead acid? I have a badass rigged out 13' whaler for my kids that I run a minn kota 55lb trolling motor and 8' power pole on. I have a 29 size lead acid for the trolling motor and the cranking battery that everything else runs off of(power pole, wetsounds sound bar, GPS). The weight of those 2 batteries in a 13' boat is significant, so interested in lithiums if they are that much lighter.

I bought an outlaw lithium 175ah 12v battery to power a 55 Minn kota, a Garmin 9” and 2 10” wetsounds speakers. I’ve been cruising probably 3 times with the speakers playing and fishing probably another 3-4 times and it still shows full charge on the trolling motor test light. It’s pretty pricey, but If I charge it before a trip, I know I won’t have to worry about it.

the ionic lithium 50Ah 12V batteries in my boat weight 16.5lbs each. I saved about 80lbs between the two trolling motor batteries when i switched from lead acid.

Just finished my upgrade to lithium. Three LiTime Mini 100mAH for Terrova 36v trolling motor. Added bluetooth Victron battery monitors to each for voltage and temperature. (Don't charge these if temperature is under 40F). $362 each. Using Noco 3 bank 15A charger. Small profile, 19 lbs each.

$350 per seams cheap. What are you getting?

AH obviously drives the price a good bit but $350 is what I paid for 12V50AH Ionics

Lithiums can even be managed on tighter budget with the Chinese brands. Likely same components but less quality control (cell grade may not "A" throughout).

The downside of this for me was charging. I could get two 12s and still use my inboard charger.

They would easily weigh half or less than comparable lead acid. Well worth that by itself.

A 100 ah 12v lithium would weigh about 30lbs give or take.

Get a powerpole charge unit and you can do both. And you would never have to worry about battery power issues again
