A 3" version of that 442 would be great.

Agree. I don’t know why Smith won’t make a 3” 642 or 442.

How much more can the revolver be improved? Better sights Better trigger Beveled cylinder for easier holstering Better grips

I’m not knocking S&W because they have always been a high quality and high price company.

But none of those items listed are that expensive.

I can get a $600 or less AR that has every one of those items plus a lot more innovation, sights, etc.

First time I think I have ever heard someone compare a snub nose 38 to an AR.

A couple of notes of fact. The UC gun has probably 30% more machining required than a regular run of the mill j frame. Cuts for the sights, bevel in cylinder and barrel shroud. The G10 grips are about $80. The XS sights are $100. The trigger enhancement is probably worth another $100. There is value in the gun with that considered. It’s a capitalist economy so no one is going to force anyone to purchase it. Free will is a great fricking thing.

They aren’t readily available in most shops because they are very popular. The 432 model is selling on GB for double MSRP. I think Smith listened and delivered a solid product here.

Picked up my 632 today. Trigger is really good. I like the grips. This one is going to be my primary summer carry rig. Going to carry 100 gr buffalo bore JHP's in it. Pretty close to .38 special +p rounds.

Dude, I'm amazed. How does someone know so much about guns and bullets! I'm not a hunter so very little experience with firearms. I'm not talking just about that headline quote. I sure enjoy reading and learning from these conversations. Learn something everyday.
