They lefty thing never dawned on me. I am sure that would make the 4th gen worth it.

My son looks to be a south paw so I might have to get use to that line of thinking.

My oldest is a southie. I talked to my cop buddy today and asked him if he had his choice between a gen 3 or 4 what would he get and he said a 4 hands down. He's been a range instructor for yrs FWIW

I have G19 Gen 3 rtf and love the extra texture. It's the fine dots unlike the Gen 4 larger dots. The grip was a bit rough along the edges. I just rubbed the back of my thumb nail along the row. This reduces the texture just enough so the edge is not so rough.
I was not a fan at first but as time went on I bought one and now when I hold a gen 3 non rtf it feels bulky.
