Anyone here know the rule for Jet-skis on lake darbonne??

I just came back from the bar where someone was complaining about the locals not being happy with their Jet-skiing in the boat channel. To which I said I would be pissed too, and it is not legal. They think I'm crazy (probably am) but can't find anything in writing to back me up??? Any help??

But for the record I didn't say they were outlawed, just that there are designated areas for that and skiing, and the boat channel isn't one of them...

they are douchebags for the most part the 99% of the time I am in a boat.......but the 1% time I am on a jet ski got damn those things are fun

It's my understanding that a jet ski is considered a powerboat less than 16' long. This means they are allowed to go anywhere you'd go in a 14' johnboat with an outboard motor.

Yea, its not illegal to ride a jetski anywhere that I know of. It is unethical to do donuts around some old folks in a Jon boat though.

It also makes you liable for any damage or injuries that may happen as a result of your wake. Problem is, jet skiers don't have the mental capacity to understand that.

Here's my CSB. My uncle used to own a camp on Lake Darbonne. When I was 13ish we went out and visited and road jet ski's on the lake. Well one of the neighbors didn't like this and shot a BB gun at us. The neighbor got a good arse-chewing from my aunt and we decided to stop riding jet ski's on Darbonne.
