I shot my dads Wilson Combat AR and I have a Wilson Combat 1911 that I love. Just wondering if any has a Wilson Combat rifle, and are they happy with it. My dad loves his but looking for unbiased opinions from the OB.

I have a Wilson Combat 1911 and one of their ARs.

They're good.

We have a Recon and a few SBRs at Bowie's. Good stuff, but very overpriced. Comes with a Rogers Superstock, which is like a better CTR, nice fitment, and a good, quiet buffer spring (I think it's a JP Enterprise with some white lithium grease). The single stage trigger it comes with is mediocre at best, the TRIM rail is a dated design made with inferior aluminum, and the barrels are of questionable quality.

If you're gonna get a boutique rifle, get a Noveske, Larue, or JP.

Wilson makes one of the best 1911s, but their ARs leave a lot to be desired. Paying extra for the Wilson name, which, to a degree, you do with all of the "premium rifles." It's a higher premium for the Wilsons though.
