Anyone fished False River at night for striper lately?

Buddy and I might be going Saturday night. I've never done it before. Had a friend tell me go try by the light house. I'm guessing I just use a deep diving crank bait? I have zero experience with stripers so any advice would be appreciated.
Also, my feelings won't be hurt if you tell me it would be a waste of time and to stay at the camp and drink.

Why stay at the camp and drink if you can drink while trolling and throwing a crank bait.

Never did it at false river, but look for those green underwater lights with bait fish in them, if you see some big shadows even better.

Watch out for the water pigs/shrimp sheriff.

I used to fish there a good bit. I have never done it but seen plenty do it. I normally saw them on the north west side of the lake. Trolling inside the wake bouys about 20' out from the docks. Never seen anyone fighting fish though. Sounds like a good way to pass a night.

What I was thinking too. Ski with the kids during the day, eat supper then head out for a night cap.

I've lived out there, but only done that on occasion. Most of my friends usually start around dusk when they do it. When they are on, it doesn't matter what you throw spinner, spoon, or crankbait.

Didn't know they still had any Stripers in False River. We used to troll with a deep diving crank bait with a trailing swimming minnow about 2' behind.

When we found them, we would also jig with a Mr. Champ.

If you hooked a good one, ya better be holding on tight to that rod....
