I'm selling my stock fx4 18" wheels and tires and the guy is asking for a quote to ship them. Just curious if anyone knows a close price? Never shipped anything this large. Can I call UPS and tell them the size and weight for a quote?

Yep. It will be freight and it will cost. Also check with DHL or Old Dominion.

ship two to a palate...stack one on top of the other and band them down so they can use a forklift. you'll need approximate size and weight for a shipment quote.

I got some shipped to me from Discount tire direct and they rolled them up to my door no box no nothing the packing slip was taped to on of them. I wasn't here when they brought them so idk what shipping company it was and shipping was free so idk about price but I say all this to say you may can ship them without using a pallet

You can ship regular UPS, just ship individually. You can go to www.ups.com and create a shipment to get the estimate

That's what I did. 1 pallet 4 mounted rim and tire. I don't recall the cost tho...call a few freight companies and get quotes. You can guess a weight.

Shipped my jeep wheels and tires individually with UPS just put cardboard on wheels to protect them think it was about $60 a tire that was 3 years ago though - online tire companies ship individually with a label taped to each tire at least that's how my last set arrived.

I recently shipped a set of Duramax stock wheels from Alabama to Maryland, 2 wheels per box and it was cheaper than I expected. I shipped them UPS and IIRC it was $67. I didn't have to deal with tires, that will most likely be freight

Call your local Fastenall store (or go to their website) ...they by far have the best prices on palletized items
