quote:

Its a lot of fun to see all those cool animals, its even funner to shoot one if somebody else pays for it.

He said all I have to pay for is the mount & meat processing

I had a blast getting shitty drunk and target shooting.

He also said we couldn't drink them outta beer but i'll damn sure try

No, that was at the YO Ranch, and they taste delicious. Be careful, the mounting and processing can add up quickly if you get trigger happy

We were picked up from the lodge by the guide in his side by side and rode into a 400 acre pen. This pen was connected to another 400 acre pen with a low fence that the stag could clear easily. As soon as we drove in, the stags new what was happening. The guide and I stalked them through both pens (there was a bottom with a creek and lots of thicket). After two hours of stalking and chasing, I was finally able to get a shot off from shooting sticks.

I am just getting back into hunting after many years off, but hunted in my youth up to early college years, and this was more of a difficult hunt than sitting in a box stand waiting for deer to come to my feeder. The only thing that was easier is the fact that you are guaranteed to see animals and will most likely kill, but I had to work harder to kill this stag than any other animal I have ever killed.

I know tldr.

Totally agree. Last time I was in a fence I tracked and stalked an Axis for 3 days then settled for a Black Buck. I've never put that much effort into hunting whitetail at my no fence lease, I just sit in the stand and drink beer...

Dude, I'm just messing with you. High fence debates over here are like race debates on the OT.

I was just stoking the fire...

I am keeping my sig quote though.
