Anyone duck hunt in NW Georgia?

I'm making the trip up to NW Georgia (Dalton) after Christmas to see some ol' college buddies. They all want to make some duck hunts and it kinda took me by surprise. When I lived there I hunted deer exclusively and never once met any one up there that duck hunted. How is it for ducks there? I'm looking forward to extending a little south Louisiana knowledge to my hillbilly friends.
