I heard there's a 128" Blue heading to the scales this evening. Potential state record.

I was fishing it, saw you never knows fish at the weigh in and was insane. We tagged a blue and white and placed a wahoo. Caught all out fish in a 4 hour window. Not a bite the rest of the weekend.

I'm not sure I would have left that fish on the deck for 40 hours.

Big one like that tournament usually wants them to wait until last day weigh in to draw and pump up the crowd.

no they don't. i promise you the wharf/BMGC would much rather weigh, and have title to, the state record than worry about non-paying public watching the weigh-in.

look at MGCBC and how they still advertise the Iona Louise and the state record caught in their tournament a couple of years ago.

Was on the bridge when our captain was talking to them and said they were asked to hold and come in Saturday. Not sure if it gets any clearer than that.

Non paying public = people spending money at the wharf while the hype is built up over the fish while their waiting for it to come in so it's very profitable
