Anybody fished the causeway recently?

I've got the day off tommorow and nothing to do. I know it's still early for trout but have heard there are reds, drum, and flounder biting so i figure what the hell. Any advice or tips appreciated.

causeway is a bust right now. Some trout holding on the southshore shell pads around the Bonnet Carre

That's what I figured. I live about threes miles from the ramp so it not like I have far to go. I may wet a line anyway.

Buddy texted me this shot from a trip this morning.He's launching out of the Bonnet Carre and heading towards the causeway.Not exactly sure where and wouldn't tell if I did know but he is catching them on carolina rigged yellow Matrix Shads.

Weird, I was listening to Louisana outdoor show and he said the exact same thing as I was reading this thread and your post. Talking about fishing the causeway right now.

Damn. Nice box of fish. Do you know of anywhere that sells matrix shad close to Mandeville. I've got a few colors but not that one.

well,i was just basically going to friend yo that way you could follow and maybe friend some of these prominent fishing guys around here. Some you may know,others fly under the radar and are really good fishermen.
