Anybody ever see the Northern Lights? Where's the best place to go?

Looking into a trip, be it Finland, Scotland, or Canada, and I figure to put it on this board first because I'd guess at least a few around here know what's what.

Chena Hot Springs, just North of Fairbanks and South of the Arctic Circle.
Neat place. You can do dog sledding, snow machining and it even has an ice bar.

def plan on visiting this place this winter before I have to leave Alaska next fall.
For the OP, here are a few pictures I've taken in areas near Anchorage.

Mom and sister went this year. It's on my bucket list. Did a 10 day cruise a while back and was great. I'd like to get another trip on land though.

What shrubber said. I saw it there, five times in 2 weeks.
