Alot of people off all week. Normally crowd the woods. Do you think some will blow off the hunting ??

It’ll save a lot of deer. Our rut is just kicking off, so I’ll be going. Hope it doesn’t suppress movement too much.

Instead of the usual Mississippi hunt I'm heading to Missouri since I have archery tags already.

went fishing yesterday and fought that 20 mph wind and bluebird sky. 6 bites, caught 4. crankbait and jig.

Thats what i figured. Alot of deer will live into next season.
Plus, for alot of folks, their spots are not good with a South wind. Best to move to the Northern edge of your spots.
I see the light switch flips January 2. Most peeps go back to the grind on Jan 3.

After how slow the duck hunting was this week and most of the season Im planning on wade fishing a lot more until the weather changes

Gotta go to know. Everything said above, bring the Thermocell and refills, change hunting locations. I know last week, even with decent temperatures, we saw almost all our deer (all does) in the mornings. I’ll also check out some of our older spots deeper in the woods. I’m too old/lazy to hunt up a tree when it’s cold, if I can keep the skeeters off, I might hit some of the cousin’s archery stands in the oak thickets. Will certainly be cooler.
