Was looking on Amazon for A new 125 amp two pole square D circuit breaker. New is in the mid seventies and used is in the mid thirties. Can someone tell me if it is dangerous to buy one refurbished.

Do you really need sq D? You can buy a new other brand around $35 new. SQ D are extra high for no reason.

There a few things in life that you don't go cheap on. A 125 amp breaker would be one of those thungs, for me at least.

I was told that insurance companies want the panel and the breaker to be of the same manufacturer.

You just need the panel an already have SQ D breakers?

Homeline just as good an half the price.

QO or Homeline?
Is this the one that bolts in above the buss bar?
Like someone said, why anyone would scrimp or something like this is beyond me.
If I had a used one in the shop maybe, but I sure wouldn't buy one.

If you have to ask someone else then you aren't experienced enough to gamble with cheap parts.

No,it is a standard circuit breaker that snaps in just like any other 15, 20, or 50 amp. breaker. It is homelite panel. Thanks for the info, will just go with a new breaker.
