Looking at getting the 4 inch 9mm. Want board opinions of theirs.

Good pistol. I've never had any issues from any of my FN pistols. I love the ambidextrous features since I'm left handed.

It's a solid handgun. My old team bought one for my team sergeant when he retired. He loves it (competition shooter). If I ever decide I need another pistol (I have 9 at the moment) it will be my next one.

Its a solid pistol platform. Buy with confidence.

It comes pretty loaded with features, ie: ambi mag release, slide release, safety (some models), three mags, and some models come with night sights.

Thanks for the answers guys.

Got to look at one in store yesterday. Soon as I grabbed it and racked the slide I knew that was my choice. Grip is fantastic as well.

Yes, I love the grip. My dad has one and he loves it as well.

Besides maybe a custom 1911, I have not felt a handgun that has such a satisfying lockup with the barrel. It feels like I'm slamming the door to a bank vault with FN handguns.

The grip is a bit of a cheese grater in that it's pretty aggressive with texturing. This isn't really a bad thing and really depends on what the shooter is looking for in terms of feel.

But I would buy with confidence. The gun comes with excellent sights, good ergos, and a good trigger.

My only suggestion would be to buy one without the thumb safety. One less thing to think about...
