Any advice on fishing Grand Isle?

I haven't been in years, but heading there tomorrow morning with a couple friends. We'll be in a 20ft. bay boat and aren't looking to go far out; just hoping to enjoy the day and maybe catch a few fish. Any good advice would be much appreciated! TIA

You'd be better off fishing catfish lake and around golden meadow. Island is slow this time of year

Head Northwest towards Leeville. Fish the location canals and marsh drains. For trout. You can catch Reds and Flounder on the back side of the island this time of year, but not much trout.
