Release of liability form
Make sure they have hunting club insurance ( even if it isn't a club, they can still get it. Will cover things such as fire damage, accidental shooting, etc)
I also recommend a contract stating what they are allowed to do. Hunt, recreational riding, etc. Also state whether they are allowed to construct any permanent structures, cut trees, improvement to the land without owners consent.
There are lots of contract examples available online. No matter how much you trust someone there is always an issue that will arise when dealing with land/hunting/buisness

That was good advice, thanks. I didn't think about keeping them from cutting trees, putting up structures, or improvement construction. I don't care if they hunt, but I want everything left like it is and I don't want any tire ruts (so don't hunt when wet or walk).

That'll happen. You can stipulate that they are required to fix any surface damages caused. It isn't that hard to do when its dry. A tractor and grader box will do the trick.

You may be right. I've thought about that. But, they've been hunting on the place behind mine, and it seems that what they want to be able to do is to come into the woods from the place behind mine. They couldn't drive trucks through the woods and they can't go through the woods into my pastures because of gullies on the edge of the woods and in the woods.
There are horse trails, but they aren't as wide as they appear in this picture.

Sounds like they may just want permission to pursue across property boundaries. I wouldn't be too concerned but if they are getting it for free they shouldn't mind signing a release and contract

Make them sign the paperwork and let them hunt. I know how it feels to not have land trust me. As an adult I can use WMAs or join leases but as a kid I was fricked. We had 2 old farmers that let us hunt and frog. To this day Id do anything for those old men or their families for giving is the opportunity that he did.
