You can tow just fine with the 3.5L v6 ecoboost in a f150

He's looking at some of the larger v8 engines. So I doubt he wants you to sell him on your little v6.

I know ford is really trying hard to push that ecoboost. But anyone driving around in a full size truck with a v6 should have his man-card pulled

3.5L EB V6 will make the 6.2L GM V8 its bitch in any towing contest. More torque over a broader RPM range. The 2017 6.2L GM had to be floored to keep up on grade with 9,000 lbs towing while the 2017 3.5L EB Ford had power to spare.

Potential is irrelevant for somebody who will not be modifying anything.

The V6 EB is no doubt a mule and if you don't need a 3/4 ton truck it's probably the best option out there for pulling. I don't doubt that it'll outrun a 6.2 GM pulling up a hill, but I'd like to know the total gearing between the two. Those big gassers need to spin up to pull hard and half ton GMs have traditionally had horrible pulling ratios.
