After reading the other thread about box stands a while ago I decided to post some pictures/plans for my new stand.
I made a 4x4 stand on my new swamp lease behind my house. Is about 95% complete. The stand is on an old ring levee in the swamp. It's an area 40-50 yards in diameter and high ground. The feeder still needs a roof. I have dimensioned drawings if anyone wants them

I haven't had a camera out long but I've had this 8pt stroll through. Not the best picture but it got the important part

Good looking Stand. I would like the dimensions if you don't mind sharing them.

How far away from the stand is the feeder?

Very nice. Do you have some drain holes in bottom of feeder?

Yes I have drain holes at the bottom. The feeder is about 40-50 paces in front of the stand. Each are on opposite sides of the ring levee. I'll be using a shotgun. Not many rifle areas unless you are on a pipeline.

Is that Mo Bucks on the ground? Also how do the deer like the trough feeder vs a gravity or corn poured on ground?

That is rice brand and corn.
This is the first year I use the trough but a few other guys on the lease use them. This guy doesn't mind them

You need to paint the stand and put camo see through netting on windows, any movement at that level will be pick up.

The stand is painted. The 5th picture shows it. The others are progress pictures. it's also 95% done meaning I have to still put stairs, netting and inside paint.

Nice. You have the dimensions to go with the drawings?

I thought my dad had snuck onto TD when I saw those pictures. Before it was painted, it looked exactly like the stand we put up a year or two ago. Even the area looked similar. But anyway, it's a nice stand and if you did it right, it's sturdy and will last for a long time. Just got to make sure the inside has carpet in it or you will make tons of noise in it.

Nope I'm not your father. I've built it just like all my others that are still standing. It's solid but only as sturdy as the soggy arse growing it is standing on. I have it shored up with some bricks and 2x10s right now. I'm going to replace the 2x10s with cement blocks once it settles a little more. I also raid the local carpet store dumpster for their throw always and do the floors and sometimes the walls
