At a Jeanerette banquet. Paid $1000 for it. Appears it was probably $200 - $300 too much. I'm a sucker at auctions and the crown and coke didn't help either. Going to pick it up this evening. Looking forward to trying it out this weekend.

I shoot a Winchester Model 88 chambered in .308 and love the damn thing. Very good cartridge for deer.

Same... I paid $1,100 at the Dallas banquet. I was a bit over served. I picked it up Sunday, and I'm taking it out this weekend.

WOW! Now THAT'S a gun one doesn't hear about very often. When my dad died one of his guns I inherited was just like yours. Do you still hunt w/ yours?

I liked my .308 so much I swapped out my other rifles for other guns.

I have pre-64 Winchester Model 70 that dropped Mule Deer out to 250 yds
