Tikka T3x Lite in 7mm-08 with a Meopta Meostar R2 2.5-15X56 (Meopta discontinued it but some sites still have it up for sale like SportOptics because they haven't gotten rid of inventory I presume)

Tikka hunter 7 mag. Can't go wrong with Meopta scopes. I've been a fan of vortex lately. With a vortex viper pst 3x15x42 with a 30mm tube you could step it up to a sako A7 and still be in your price range.

Igchris on here from interstate guns can probably help out with the 56 meostar. That's what I would get tho a tikka and a meostar. Not that I have that combo but when I get another bolt rifle it will be that setup...in prob a 300 win mag because I have a 308 already.

Do you currently own any deer rifles? If so, what kind? The first thing I would look at is building custom rifle off of an action that you may already have. Then I'd just buy a Swarovski Z3 and slap it on top.

Buy a nice trim ultra light rifle and put that damn Hubble telescope on it? That's terrible.

If it were my money buying a rifle for me, I'd get a ruger guide gun .30-06, Leopold vx3 2-8, and Alaska arms detachable scope rings.

but really, obvious answer is tikka with either meopta or viper, or possibly Leupold.

I love my WBY 257 Ultralight, but won't be under 2K with glass.
