Just picked up 4 500 round boxs of Remington thunderbolt .22 for .065/round after tax in lafayette. The sale goes to 9/6...$29.98 per box before tax.

Also the buckets of 1400 .22 rounds for $99 have about 40 buckets left...they started with 4 pallets I believe they told me. I was told once they are gone they are gone for good. They save them for when a store has a grand opening...and then when they sell out they dont get more. Those are .078 a round at that price.

If you don't have any, it's a good buy, but I'd hold off on Thunderbolts if you have plenty.

I have 3 buckets of the golden 22s. also have about 1k of cci standard velocity for when I can a can for my 15-22. I did grab some just to have...whats wrong with thunderbolts? I had read some issues with it but on rimfirecentral theres a recent few page thread where the ones shooting it haven't had issues. Idk...is what it is at this point

The CCI SV is some great stuff. I've had plenty of FTF with the Thunderbolts thru numerous firearms. I always clean my guns really well, just don't have much luck with them. I think it's pretty well known That it isn't top shelf ammo, but when there's nothing else, I'd grab some if I didn't have a big stockpile.

Their regular prices are better than anything up here. I bought over 1000 rounds when I was in Lafayette a couple of months ago. I loved their selection too. Bought three 330 round boxes of CCI and three boxes of some Federal in a white box.

Love that place. Wish they sold it online.

I like the CCI SV becasue you can shoot it out of a rifle with a can and its quiet...its cheaper than the sub stuff (that I have seen)...and it has the power needed to cycle a semi auto. So I want to stock up on that for the rifles. This remington stuff im grabbing to shoot mainly out of 22 pistols with a can since they dont go supersonic in the short barrels. I'll see how they do.

Be forewarned F&S (at least when they opened) had WAY WAY higher prices on ammo n things. For instance I had just got my AK and got some steel ammo from f&s becasue it was my first time there and was shooting the next day. The 20rnd boxes were $8 MORE than academy per box...I made them price match and got 50 bucks back off 8 boxes. I also saw a bi pod that was $15 MORE than academy and the dame thing was only 30 at academy. When I went today they have a big sign saying they have lowered a ton of items...im guessing for that reason.

With that said the buy 1 get one 1/2 off on 22 ammo was real nice...thats why I stopped.
