I’d bring it to dealership if still under warranty. Mine did that randomly until it finally gave out

That’s the 10 speed transmission that was designed between GMC and Ford. I had a 2019 F-150 that did same. They tried resetting the adaptive learning. Didn’t resolve. I finally got tired of it and moved on from the truck sadly.

condolences. There should be a recall on the 8 Spd automatic. I didnt think the 21s had that issue but maybe they do.

My 19 AT4 is doing this at 70k miles. One thing I was told is a garage can change the transmission fluid and put some type of additive and some people say they have had some success. I will soon try that.

Give it another 3-4 months and when this strike starts affecting new truck delivery you can name your price for a low mileage used one

Take it to dealer and tell them it has issues with torque convertor shudder. They'll swap out the transmission fluid with an improved version and it fixes everything. All done under warranty unless you've blown through the mileage warranty.

Ya, I know it sounds weird that a fluid change can fix it, but that's what it needs. Toyota had this as well.

We have a 2020 Yukon that was bumping. Dealership said to switch it out of auto 4WD/2WD mode to just 2WD. No bumps since.

My brother 10 speed Chevy had to be replaced after 70,000 miles. My friend 10 speed 21 Ford went thru 3 transmissions before 50,000 miles, was under warranty thankfully. My 18 GMC 6 speed went out after 160,000 miles. But was in and out of shop after 60,000 miles for hard shifting.

2020 GMC Sierra 5.3 with the 8 speed. Had to get the Torque Converter replaced at 70,000 miles. I had the extended warranty (7 yr 100,000 mile) so it covered it. I plan to trade it in at 90,000 miles.

It's not a perminate fix. It's a temporary bandaid and can/will come back.

I thought this was inoy on the 2014-2018 models though.

Air gets in the oil and breaks it down. Changing oil fixes it immediately but the cycle continues. There is no permanent fix but to get another vehicle

Exacly why I avoided buying the premium plus package when I bought my truck so that I could get the 6 spd and avoid the 8spd.

Didn’t matter truck got stolen within the year….
