Interested to see how it shoots. As of right now I think I’m going to either keep my Elite Impulse or get the Ritual 30.

Similar to the halon, but has the Triax/Vertix 3D dampening and grip

The modules for max draw weight is pretty awesome too

Yea I like the draw weight mods idea. Grip seems nice. Like anything archery though, won’t know til you shoot it.

Hat, I figured I would ask it in here rather than starting a new thread. Let's say I want to get into bow hunting. What are the best beginner bows out there? Looking to keep it under $500.

If it’s really 20% less vibration than the Triax that would be crazy. I’m not sure what 20% of nothing is, but I’m excited to find out

go used. i bought a bowtech allegiance 10 years ago for 300$ that was like 3 years old. I have yet to upgrade because i shoot it so well. One of these years when i bowhunt more then once or twice a year im gonna go and shot everything that shop has and get something new, but until then a 13 yo use bow i paid 300 bucks for is fantastic.

I don't see how they (and other manufacturers) keep making these things better, but they do.

One of the best ever made. I don't use mine now, but I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

See, that’s my line of thought. I’m probably only going to bow hunt a handful of times a year. I have no problem buying used, but where did you buy from? Did you buy a used bow from a bow shop or online? If buying online, how do you know the bow you are buying will fit properly?

I have the same question, but without the limitation of the budget.

As someone getting into bow hunting (I'm doing a 2019 Colorado elk hunt with a buddy who just bought a remote cabin), what bows would you all recommend?

Used is a great option like someone said earlier. Go check out some bow shops as ask what they have

If you want to buy new, Bear makes great bows for guys getting into it. I would highly recommend not buying from BP/Cabelas though, go to a proshop and get it fitted for YOU

You really have to go shoot some bows and see what fits best for you.

If anyone comes out and tells you "you have to get ________ bow! There is no other option" without you ever handling it, don't trust his judgement

Bows fit different people differently. You have to see how it works for you

I'm in New Orleans. How is Chag's reputation as a bow shop?

Thanks a lot for the advice.

Chag's is the shop I use. They are one of the best bow shops in the state IMO

They'll shoot a newbie straight in there?

I'll probably go in there and buy something after the season to practice all off season.
