2012 ranger 500 crew for $5K?

other than the "knock in the bottom end"...

this should be a 10K vehicle right?

Sounds pretty serious.

Paying a shop would probably run $3k+ to repair, engine would have to be removed, split the cases, etc etc.

Even if you pay $5000, $3000 in repairs, $500 in new tires (look worn), $100 in battery you are still getting a hell of a deal IMO

looks like you can get a rebuilt for $1650

seller says the crank is worn where one of the connecting rods attaches...

thoughts?

yes i knew a rebuilt would be pretty cheap, and yes i can do the swap myself.

If thats all that is wrong, Id do it for 3500-4000, but not for $5k. For 5k, plus what its going to take, Id rather have one that works or a new one.
